Shelf maintenance is an important part of keeping the kiln running well, especially when glaze drips or runs during a firing. Traditional shelves are usually ruined when that happens, but our studio uses ADVANCER shelves, which are far more durable and can be cleaned instead of replaced. If a glaze run occurs, we charge a $15 cleaning fee to cover the time and materials needed to safely remove the residue and restore the shelf.
